Kia America Renews Sponsorship of B.R.A.K.E.S. Teen Pro-Active Driving School
Kia America and B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe) today announced a renewal of their partnership and continued commitment to reducing injuries and saving lives by providing teens and their parents with the tools they need to be responsible behind the wheel. Founded in 2008, B.R.A.K.E.S. combines classroom instruction with hands-on-defensive driver training courses in Kia vehicles for both teen drivers and their parents. Along with their teens, parents are asked to participate to further reinforce the lessons teens learn during the classes and as a way to identify and correct any bad habits that may have developed through the years since they themselves began driving.
Kia Georgia begins production of the all-new 2023 Sportage
On Tuesday, the Kia Georgia team officially began production of the all-new 2023 Sportage subcompact SUV at the plant’s facility in West Point, Georgia. Sportage, Kia’s longest running nameplate, has undergone its most significant changes to date as part of Kia’s “Movement that inspires” transformation. Savvy and adventurous, the celebratory Sportage was jungle green in color with the X-Pro Prestige trim package. The vehicle was introduced by Sean Yoon, president and CEO for Kia North America, and then driven off of the assembly line by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and James Watson, Kia Georgia’s vice president of production.

Kia’s all-new 2022 EV6 crossover recently made GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS history, traveling 2,880.5 miles with the shortest charging time to cross the United States in an electric vehicle. During the seven-day trek from New York City to Los Angeles, the Kia EV6 was plugged in for a scant 7 hours 10 minutes and 1 second, beating previous record holder, Tesla, by more than five and a half hours (12 hours, 48 minutes, and 19 seconds).

KIA AMERICA SETS BEST-EVER THIRD QUARTER SALES PERFORMANCE IN COMPANY HISTORY
Kia America today announced September sales of 52,906 units, led by Forte and Telluride models, which accelerated Kia to its best-ever third quarter sales in company history for a total of 177,014 units sold. This result has contributed to Kia’s highest ever sales performance for the first nine months of a calendar year – a total of 555,525 units – a nine-percent increase over the previous first three- quarter sales record of 491,764 units set in 2016.

KIA AMERICA EARNS HIGHEST NUMBER OF J.D. POWER INITIAL QUALITY AWARDS IN THE INDUSTRY
Kia America has earned more number-one ranked models than any other automaker, according to the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS). A total of five Kia vehicles delivered segment-best performances: Forte (Compact Car), Sedona (Minivan), Sportage (Compact SUV), Soul (Small SUV) and Telluride (Upper Midsize SUV). 2021 marks three consecutive wins for Forte and Sedona and the second straight year Soul ranked number one. Telluride is a first-time honoree and Sportage recaptures the title it previously held in 2019.
