KIA AMERICA SETS BEST-EVER THIRD QUARTER SALES PERFORMANCE IN COMPANY HISTORY
Kia America today announced September sales of 52,906 units, led by Forte and Telluride models, which accelerated Kia to its best-ever third quarter sales in company history for a total of 177,014 units sold. This result has contributed to Kia’s highest ever sales performance for the first nine months of a calendar year – a total of 555,525 units – a nine-percent increase over the previous first three- quarter sales record of 491,764 units set in 2016.

KIA AMERICA EARNS HIGHEST NUMBER OF J.D. POWER INITIAL QUALITY AWARDS IN THE INDUSTRY
Kia America has earned more number-one ranked models than any other automaker, according to the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS). A total of five Kia vehicles delivered segment-best performances: Forte (Compact Car), Sedona (Minivan), Sportage (Compact SUV), Soul (Small SUV) and Telluride (Upper Midsize SUV). 2021 marks three consecutive wins for Forte and Sedona and the second straight year Soul ranked number one. Telluride is a first-time honoree and Sportage recaptures the title it previously held in 2019.

KIA AMERICA ANNOUNCES HIGHEST JULY SALES IN COMPANY HISTORY
Kia America today announced record July sales of 70,099 units. Following the company’s best first-half year sales in history (Jan-Jun 2021), the month of July was punctuated by best-ever sales for Carnival MPV and best July performances from K5, Sportage and Telluride. July sales were up 34-percent year-over-year. Carnival MPV posted its fourth consecutive month-over-month increase, marking the model’s highest monthly sales performance since it was introduced.

Following the January global reveal of Kia’s dynamic new logo and brand relaunch, Kia Motors America is using the North American debut of its transformative electric vehicle, the EV6, to officially adopt the global Kia Plan S strategy and change its corporate name to Kia America. The new name is the most visible component of a complete brand transformation and follows Kia Motors Corporation’s recent change of name to Kia Corporation.

MARCH 2021 MARKS BEST-EVER MONTH AND FIRST QUARTER SALES FOR KIA IN THE U.S.
Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced its best-ever month and an all-time high for first quarter sales. Through March, Kia sales are up 9-percent over the previous first quarter high set in 2016. The overall number of Kia vehicles to receive an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) and Top Safety Pick (TSP) award has increased to eight. Kia Motors America today announced best-ever January sales of 44,965 units, an 11.4-percent increase over the same period last year. Highlights include best-ever January performances by the popular Telluride SUV, Niro EV and Forte compact sedan. Light trucks – Niro, Soul, Seltos, Sportage, Sorento, Telluride and Sedona – accounted for 66.7-percent of Kia’s total volume, up 18.3-percent year-over-year.
