KIA FORTE AND SOUL NAMED TOP PICK FOR TEENS BY U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT

Kia Motors America (KMA) celebrates a double Autopacific win, as the 2019 Forte sedan and the 2019 Cadenza have been named segment winners in the 2019 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA). The Forte outranked some of the segment’s toughest rivals in the compact car segment, while the Cadenza beat out industry stalwarts in the large car category.

One of Kia Motors America’s (KMA) best-selling models – the Forte compact sedan – has earned a J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) award. The announcement comes on the heels of Kia being named the highest ranked mass market brand in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study for the fifth consecutive year, with the Forte recognized for its segment-topping performance in the compact car segment.

KIA HAS THE MOST VEHICLES WITH TOP SAFETY PICK AND TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS RATINGS FROM INSURANCE INSTITUTE FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY
Kia has more vehicles with Top Safety Pick (TSP) and Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) ratings than any other brand. The new distinction was achieved when the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently awarded Top Safety Pick to the new 2020 Kia Telluride, which received “Good” ratings in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests and an “Acceptable” rating for headlights.

2020 KIA SOUL EARNS 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS STATUS FROM INSURANCE INSTITUTE FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY
The completely redesigned 2020 Kia Soul has earned Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) status from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The TSP+ designation was awarded to Soul models equipped with optional Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist systems and LED headlights . On the heels of the Stinger’s recent TSP+ rating, the Soul’s new accolade increases the total number of Kia vehicles with 2019 Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick Plus ratings to 11 when equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights.

KIA MOTORS RANKED HIGHEST MASS MARKET BRAND FOR FIFTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR IN J.D. POWER U.S. INITIAL QUALITY STUDY
For the fifth consecutive year, Kia was named the number one non-luxury automotive brand today by J.D. Power in the 2019 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), with a reported 70 problems per 100 vehicles, a two-point improvement over last year’s results. Kia’s continued success in IQS was led by having four models – Rio, Forte, Sportage and Soul -- included among the top 10 vehicles in the industry, the most of any brand. In addition, Kia had segment-topping performances from Rio (Small Car), Forte (Compact Car), Sportage (Small SUV) and Sedona (Minivan).

The all-new Kia Telluride won first place in the SUV category at the first-ever Texas Off-Road Invitational held by the Texas Motor Press Association. More than 30 truck and sport-utility media evaluated the all-new mid-size SUV at General Sam’s Offroad Park in Huntsville, Texas. KIA TELLURIDE NAMED “CUV OF TEXAS” BY THE TEXAS AUTO WRITERS ASSOCIATION
After two days of driving and evaluations, journalist members of the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) named the all-new 2020 Kia Telluride “CUV of Texas” as well as the “Mid-Size CUV” category winner at the association’s recent Auto Roundup event. The results were based on the assessments of the 44 journalist members of TAWA who attended the event and evaluated 29 vehicles across a wide variety of criteria.
