2013 KIA OPTIMA

KIA MOTORS' RANGE-TOPPING OPTIMA SX LIMITED ARRIVES IN DEALERSHIPS
The 2013 Kia Optima SX Limited (SXL), which is the new top-tier trim level of the ultra-popular midsize Optima sedan line, is now arriving in dealerships with an MSRP under $35,0002. First introduced at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show, the upscale Optima Limited went into production at Kia's U.S. manufacturing plant in West Point, Georgia* in early-June and builds on the Optima SX's existing foundation of class-leading horsepower3 and fuel efficiency4 while adding a number of exclusive design and feature upgrades, including: 18-inch chrome wheels, red brake calipers, LED lighting and exterior brightwork. Within, the SXL boasts high-grade Nappa leather seating trim, rich wood grain accents and an electronic parking brake, which is exclusive to this trim level.

KIA MOTORS AMERICA RECORDS BEST THIRD QUARTER AND 25TH CONSECUTIVE MONTHLY SALES RECORD IN SEPTEMBER
Kia Motors America (KMA) is the fastest growing car company in the United States and the brand's unprecedented momentum reached new highs in September, achieving a record third quarter and the 25th consecutive month of record sales, reaching 48,105 units, a 35.1-percent increase over the same period in 2011. September once again saw KMA's U.S.-built* vehicles take the top sales honors. The Optima midsize sedan sold 14,304 units and the Sorento CUV enjoyed sales of 10,066 vehicles. The Soul accounted for 9,467 units sold, bolstered by the recent launch of the "Bringing Down the House" advertising campaign featuring the music-loving Kia hamsters and the dance anthem "In My Mind" (Axwell remix).

Kia Motors America (KMA), one of the fastest-growing car companies in the U.S.1 over the last five years, has joined forces with renowned comic book publisher DC Entertainment, to bring the World's Greatest Superheroes to life by combining automotive styling with comic book art. The partnership, which will yield eight individually customized vehicles, harnesses the talents of legendary comic book artist and DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee, who has collaborated on the design of each car with his vision for each iconic member of DC Comics'Justice League.

CREATIVE ICON MAKES KIA DISTINCTIVE BY DESIGN
Some must have considered whether Peter Schreyer had lost the ability to think rationally. There could be no other explanation as to why the Design Chief of Volkswagen and Audi would depart the studios he’d helped make famous for Kia Motors Corporation (KMC). Back in 2006, Kia was still making in-roads into many of the markets Schreyer’s former employer had dominated for decades. Schreyer, however, saw the potential in Kia and welcomed the challenge he’d been offered: Completely redefine the image of the Kia brand through the power of design.

2013 KIA OPTIMA AND SPORTAGE EARN AUTOPACIFIC VEHICLE SATISFACTION AWARDS
Two of Kia Motors America’s (KMA) most popular models were recently named to AutoPacific’s annual Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA). The 2013 Optima sedan was named most satisfying Mid-Size Car and the sporty 2013 Sportage was heralded as the most satisfying Compact Crossover SUV by the trusted automotive marketing and product-consulting firm. The 17th annual survey based the results on responses from more than 52,000 new-vehicle owners.
