Kia Motors America (KMA) today reported March sales of 54,777 vehicles, a 11.5-percent increase over the same period in 2013 and led by record monthly sales of the U.S.-built* Optima midsize sedan and Soul, with 16,310 and 13,992 units sold, respectively. Included in the second-best March total in company history are the first retail deliveries of the all-new K900 luxury sedan, which began arriving in select showrooms in limited supply last month.

Kia Motors America (KMA) today reported the company’s second-best annual sales in 2013 of 535,179 vehicles following the delivery of seven all-new or significantly redesigned vehicles over the course of the year. For the second straight year the U.S.-built* Optima was KMA’s best-seller and December’s total of 33,631 units helped the midsize sedan set an all-time single nameplate annual sales record for the brand at 155,893 vehicles. Since debuting in 2009, sales of the funky Soul urban passenger vehicle have increased each year and that trend continued with Kia’s iconic people mover surpassing the 118,000 unit mark following the arrival of the all-new, second generation vehicle in the fourth quarter.

Kia Motors America (KMA) today reported record November sales of 45,411 units as the brand made good on its promise to deliver seven all-new or significantly redesigned vehicles this calendar year with the 2014 Forte Koup and Forte5 now in showrooms. The all-new second-generation Soul and the refreshed 2014 model year Optima midsize sedan led the way with 12,870 and 10,871 units sold, respectively. Year-to-date sales crossed the 500,000 unit mark for the second time in company history.

Kia Motors America (KMA) today reported record July sales of 49,004 vehicles, a 1.9-percent increase over the same period in 2012. Following the launch of the national marketing campaign for the all-new 2014 Cadenza, the flagship sedan surpassed the 1,000 unit mark for the second time. Accounting for more than 40 percent of Kia’s July sales, KMA’s U.S.-built* vehicles once again take the top sales honors as the Optima midsize sedan was the brand’s best seller for the 20th consecutive month with 13,752 units sold, and the Sorento CUV enjoyed sales of 9,576 vehicles. The Soul urban passenger vehicle also recorded strong monthly sales of 10,160 units.

07/02/13 - KIA MOTORS AMERICA ANNOUNCES JUNE SALES

Kia Motors America (KMA) today reported sales in excess of 50,000 units for the second straight month, as the all-new 2014 Cadenza reached the 1,000 unit mark for the first time following the launch of the flagship sedan’s national marketing campaign. With 50,536 total vehicles sold, the U.S.-built* Optima midsize sedan was the brand’s best seller for the 19th consecutive month, and together with the Sorento CUV – also built in West Point, Georgia – accounted for more than 40 percent of Kia’s June sales. The Soul urban passenger vehicle also recorded strong monthly sales of 11,287 units.
