Seven Kia vehicles received the highest honors from the editors of Money in the magazine’s inaugural “Best Autos of 2023” awards. The Carnival MPV, K5, Soul, Sportage, Sportage Hybrid, Stinger, and Telluride each were named “Best Overall and Best Value” in their respective categories, and nine other Kia models were recognized as attribute winners. This is the first time that nearly every Kia model currently on sale was named to a single list of the automotive industry’s top vehicles.

As part of Kia’s focus on popularizing electric vehicles, the fast-growing brand continues its push to make EV ownership easier for more people. Kia America announced the company’s return to Electrify Expo.  The nationwide tour will bring together leaders in electrification to discuss the future of the mobility industry. Kicking off in Long Beach, California, on Friday, May 19, attendees will have the opportunity to drive the Kia EV6, which was the winner of the esteemed North American Utility Vehicle of the Year™ award and the GT version, which was recently announced as winner of the 2023 World Performance Car, in addition to the multi award-winning Niro EV.  Attendees also will be among the first to see the upcoming all-new EV9, Kia’s first dedicated three-row EV SUV1.  Kia will participate in five Electrify Expo 2023 events, including: Long Beach, San Francisco, New York, Seattle and Miami.

Today, the 2023 Kia Niro EV was recognized as Cars.com’s “Top Pick: Commuter EV.” This is the second category-level award from Cars.com for the Niro family, following the Niro Hybrid being named Cars.com’s Best Car of 2023, and the first win for a Kia vehicle in this competition. The editors of Cars.com selected the Niro EV from among electric vehicles in four categories.

Three Kia models have been named among the finalists across three categories in the 2023 World Car Awards. The Kia Niro is among the list of finalists for 2023 World Car of the Year, while its electrified variant, the Niro EV, is a finalist for the 2023 World Electric Vehicle category. And with a hair-raising 567 horsepower on tap, the EV6 GT is a finalist in the 2023 World Performance Car category.

The 2023 Kia Niro HEV was named Cars.com’s Best Car of 2023, beating four other vehicles for the top spot. The 2023 Kia Carnival was named Best Family Car of 2023. The 2023 Sorento was nominated for Best SUV of 2023, which is the outlet’s newest award category.

Kia America once again joins cutting-edge mobility companies for Electrify Expo Austin, the final event in the series where leaders in electrification will come together to discuss the key challenges, insights, available research, and trends facing the mobility sector as it moves toward an all-electric future. After events earlier this summer in the Long Beach, CA, Seattle, NYC-Metro, and Miami areas, the series concludes November 11-13, at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, where attendees will once again have the opportunity to experience the Kia EV6 first-hand and be among the first to see the all-new Niro EV.

Today, Kia announced pricing for the all-new 2023 Niro EV, the second-generation crossover designed from the ground up to meet and exceed the expectations of electric vehicle consumers. Offered in Niro EV Wind and Niro EV Wave trim levels, the 2023 Niro EV features an MSRP of $39,450.

Kia America and Electrify America have announced a collaboration to provide drivers of the all-new second-generation 2023 Kia Niro EV with 500 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of complimentary EV charging at any Electrify America station across the United States. The charging credit can enable Niro EV owners to drive as many as 1,950 miles, depending on driving style and external conditions.
