#1! KIA TOP MASS-MARKET BRAND IN J.D. POWER VEHICLE DEPENDABILITY STUDY
Kia was ranked number one among mass-market brands today by J.D. Power in the 2021 Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) with a reported 97 problems per 100 vehicles. The achievement has been strengthened by three of Kia’s most popular-selling models – the Sorento, Sportage, and Optima – each besting their respective segments.

Kia Motors America (KMA) was honored when two of its popular models – the 2017 Kia Optima midsize sedan and 2017 Kia Sportage SUV – were named among the top 10 Most Awarded Cars of 2017 by Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com, a trusted source for consumers in the automotive space. The list identifies the 10 vehicles Kelley Blue Book has recognized the most often this year. In addition, Kia Motors earned its place on KBB.com’s list of the 10 Most Awarded Brands of 2017.

2017 KIA OPTIMA RECEIVES TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS RATING FROM THE INSURANCE INSTITUTE FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY
Kia Motors America’s (KMA) top-selling sedan, the 2017 Optima, has earned the highest designation possible – Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) – from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for vehicles built after March 2017 when equipped with optional front crash prevention and LED headlights with High Beam Assist. The rating reflects top scores in each of five crashworthiness tests as well as the integration of Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for crash prevention and new headlamp testing standards which were introduced this year. Aside from earning “good” crashworthiness ratings and a superior rating for the optional front-crash prevention system, the 2017 Optima achieved a “good” rating in IIHS headlamp testing.
