Seven Kia vehicles received the highest honors from the editors of Money in the magazine’s inaugural “Best Autos of 2023” awards. The Carnival MPV, K5, Soul, Sportage, Sportage Hybrid, Stinger, and Telluride each were named “Best Overall and Best Value” in their respective categories, and nine other Kia models were recognized as attribute winners. This is the first time that nearly every Kia model currently on sale was named to a single list of the automotive industry’s top vehicles.

Three Kia models were awarded top honors in the annual “Best Cars for Families” rankings presented by the editors of U.S. News & World Report. The rugged and refined 2023 Kia Telluride SUV was named “Best 3-Row SUV for Families” for the fourth consecutive year, the all-electric 2023 Kia EV6 performance crossover was chosen as the first “Best Electric Vehicle for Families,” and the 2023 Kia K5 sedan earned its first title as “Best Midsize Car for Families.”

A trio of Kia models have been recognized as winners in the annual 2023 Best Cars for the Money awards from U.S. News & World Report. Taking top honors this year are the 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid (Best Hybrid SUV for the Money), Kia K5 (Best Midsize Car for the Money), and Kia Rio (Best Subcompact Car for the Money). Covering 12 automotive categories, the awards highlight cars and SUVs that represent the best combination of long-term value and excellent ownership experience.

Last week, Kia took home the highest number of model awards – five – in the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards. The segment wins by Telluride (Midsize SUVs with 3-row seating), Sportage (Compact SUVs), K5 (Midsize Cars), Soul (Micro SUVs), and Rio (Small Cars), led Kia to the best year-over-year improvement of any mass market brand in the annual evaluation.

Kia America topped Strategic Vision’s 2022 Total Quality Impact Awards with four models that each won their respective segments. The Kia K5 (Mid-Size Car), Seltos (Entry CUV), Sorento Plug-In Hybrid (Alternative Power Train - Utility), and Carnival (Minivan) were reported to have the fewest problems in the TQI report while all models were lauded for enhanced quality in seat comfort, power, and driver-assist features.

Entering its third model year, the boldly styled K5 sport sedan largely carries over into 2023 with minor enhancements to badging, packaging and feature content. The K5 is available in four well-equipped trim levels: LXS, EX, GT-Line and the sporty GT. The LX trim has been discontinued for 2023. While AWD is no longer offered with the LXS, the GT-Line continues to be available with FWD and AWD configurations.
