2022 KIA EV6 AND 2023 TELLURIDE WIN HISPANIC MOTOR PRESS AWARDS
The 2022 Kia EV6 and 2023 Kia Telluride have both been recognized by the Hispanic Motor Press as the best vehicles of the year for Hispanic consumers. At the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Hispanic Motor Press named the EV6 as the Best EV of the Year, and crowned the Telluride as the SUV of the Year. The association’s jury panel of over 20 Hispanic automotive journalists, content creators, and industry influencers selected winners based off several key factors important to Hispanic consumers.

KIA IS MOST AWARDED BRAND IN J.D. POWER 2022 AUTOMOTIVE PERFORMANCE, EXECUTION, AND LAYOUT (APEAL) STUDY
Kia America has earned three J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) awards, including one for the all-new EV6, Kia’s first dedicated EV and first step toward the brand’s transformative ‘Plan S’ global electrification strategy. The electric crossover took the top spot in the Compact SUV segment, while the Carnival MPV and K5 each won their respective segments. The announcement follows the Forte being crowned number one in the compact car segment in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study.

Kia America joins cutting-edge mobility companies in a series of five Electrify Expo events to advance electrification. The tour recently kicked off in Long Beach on June 3, where leaders in electrification came together to discuss the key challenges, insights, available research, and trends facing the mobility sector as it moves toward an all-electric future. The series continues July 23 - 24 in Seattle at Husky Stadium. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the all-new Kia EV6 first-hand.

KIA AMERICA COLLABORATES WITH ELECTRIFY AMERICA TO PROVIDE EV6 BUYERS WITH 1,000 KILOWATT-HOURS CHARGING AT NO ADDITIONAL COST
Kia America and Electrify America have announced a partnership to provide Kia EV6 buyers with 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of complimentary EV charging/energy at any Electrify America station across the U.S. The agreement between the two companies will enable Kia owners 3,500 to 4,000 miles of all-electric driving at no charging cost, depending on the vehicle model and various conditions.

“ROBO DOG” STAR OF KIA AMERICA’S SUPER BOWL SPOT IS NOW FEATURED IN AN NFT COLLECTION TO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED FIND FOREVER HOMES
Kia America announced its first NFT series, based on “Robo Dog”, the robot puppy and star of Kia’s Super Bowl spot. Partnering with NFT platform Sweet and The Petfinder Foundation, the series is available in three unique and accessible collections with 90-percent of all primary sales proceeds benefiting The Petfinder Foundation to help animals in need find their forever homes. In addition, a 10-percent royalty is written into the smart contract on the blockchain, so whenever a Robo Dog NFT across the series is resold on a participating secondary market, The Petfinder Foundation will again benefit from funding for additional pet adoptions.

KIA ANNOUNCES 310-MILE EPA-CERTIFIED RANGE FOR ALL-NEW EV6
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has certified a maximum all-electric range (AER) of 310 miles for the 2022 Kia EV6 when equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery and rear-wheel drive. The all-electric range (AER) for the entire EV6 lineup was announced ahead of the EV6 going on sale in the first quarter of 2022. Kia’s all-new 2022 EV6 crossover recently made GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS history, traveling 2,880.5 miles with the shortest charging time to cross the United States in an electric vehicle. During the seven-day trek from New York City to Los Angeles, the Kia EV6 was plugged in for a scant 7 hours 10 minutes and 1 second, beating previous record holder, Tesla, by more than five and a half hours (12 hours, 48 minutes, and 19 seconds).
