KIA NIRO, SOUL, AND CADENZA NAMED SEGMENT WINNERS IN J.D. POWER 2017 AUTOMOTIVE PERFORMANCE, EXECUTION, AND LAYOUT (APEAL) STUDY
Kia Motors has earned three J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) awards with the Kia Niro, Kia Soul, and Kia Cadenza, all garnering awards in their respective segments. Kia is the only non-premium brand to register wins in three segments (in a three-way tie with two premium brands), earning accolades in the Small SUV segment (Niro), Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle segment (Soul) and Large Car segment (Cadenza). The announcement follows on the heels of Kia Motors recently being ranked highest in the industry in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS) for the second year in a row and all three Kia APEAL study segment winners were also IQS segment winners.

KIA TOPS J.D. POWER’S INITIAL QUALITY NAMEPLATE RANKINGS FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR
Continuing a multi-year string of quality and reliability awards and accolades, J.D. Power’s 2017 Initial Quality Study (IQS) today recognized Kia Motors as the highest-ranking nameplate in the United States for the second year in a row. Kia’s improvement to 72 problems per 100 vehicles marks the best nameplate performance within the last 20 years of the study, driven by five segment awards – the most of any nameplate – for the Soul (Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle), Forte (Compact Car), Cadenza (Large Car), Niro (Small SUV) and Sorento (Midsize SUV). The Kia Soul took home an IQS award for the third consecutive year while Kia’s two newest models, Cadenza and Niro, were outstanding performers in their first model year, with the Kia Cadenza earning the top score among all models ranked in the study. Together with the Optima and Sportage, each of the seven award eligible Kia models included in the 2017 IQS study finished first or second in their respective categories.

THREE KIA MODELS EARN COVETED AUTOPACIFIC VEHICLE SATISFACTION AWARDS
Three of Kia Motors America’s (KMA) highly acclaimed models, the 2016 Optima midsize sedan, the 2016 and 2017 Cadenza premium sedan as well as the 2017 Sportage Compact CUV, have been named segment winners in AutoPacific’s 2017 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA) in the midsize car, large car and compact crossover SUV categories, respectively.

2017 KIA CADENZA ACHIEVES TOP SAFETY PICK PLUS RATING FROM THE INSURANCE INSTITUTE FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded its highest designation possible, Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+), to the 2017 Kia Cadenza, when equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights. SOUL AND CADENZA NAMED BEST CARS FOR FAMILIES BY U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT
The 2017 Soul and Cadenza have received 2017 Best Cars for Families awards from U.S. News & World Report. Vehicles were judged on their safety, seating and cargo volume, reliability and the availability of family-friendly features. U.S. News & World Report selected the Soul from 20 competitors in the Compact Cars category while the Cadenza was chosen from a field of 11 competitor vehicles in the Large Car category.

KIA MOTORS AMERICA ANNOUNCES 2017 CADENZA PRICING
Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced pricing for the all-new second-generation 2017 Cadenza full-size premium sedan. When the Cadenza arrives in dealerships later this month it will be offered in three trim levels – Premium, Technology and Limited, with the Premium MSRP starting at just $31,990. Adding a suite of advanced driver assistance and convenience features, the Technology starts at $38,990, while the fully equipped Limited will be offered at $44,390.

With the all-new 2017 Cadenza now arriving in showrooms, the Hispanic Motor Press Awards® organization recently recognized Kia’s second-generation full-size premium car as the “Large Sedan of the Year.” In the comparative test, which assessed large cars from multiple manufacturers, judges evaluated each vehicle on safety, quality, value, performance, design, style, environmental impact and technology standards.
