  • Navigation system is standard on all trims

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 6, 2015 – After being named the segment winner in the large car category in AutoPacific’s 2015 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA) and Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA), the Kia Cadenza premium sedan is poised to continue its success into the new model year by offering enhanced value. With the updates for the 2016 model year, the Cadenza is now available in three trim levels, broadening the overall appeal of Kia’s premium front-drive sedan.

Slotting below the Premium and Limited models, the new Cadenza base model continues to offer high levels of convenience features, while lowering the cost of entry. The entry Cadenza maintains its premium appearance with upscale exterior features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, projector beam headlights, rear LED combination lamps, and front fog lights. With navigation standard across the model line, all Cadenzas are equipped with an 8-inch color touchscreen that also features an integrated Rear Camera Display1. Other niceties that have trickled down from the upper trim levels and into the entry-level Cadenza include a premium Infinity®2 audio system, eight-way power adjustable passenger seat that augments a 10-way driver’s seat, leather seat trim, heated front seats, Bluetooth®3 wireless connectivity, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a push-start button.

Previously an option, the Panoramic Sunroof has been added to the standard features list for the Premium trim, while reducing the MSRP. Other additions that up the convenience factor in the Premium trim include steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, UVO eServices4 with voice command, a 550-watt Infinity audio system, auto rain-sensing wipers, and a back-up warning1 system.  The Luxury Plus Package option gains Blind Spot Detection1 (BSD) with Rear-Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). At the top of the model line is the SXL, which comes fully equipped with extra features such as 19-inch chrome alloy wheels, LED fog lights, a Surround-View Monitor1, and a rear armrest with pop-out cup holders and USB charging port. The SXL further sets itself apart with a unique front grille, a unique analogue clock, premium headliner, and additional wood grain style trim. Topping off all the changes for the 2016 Cadenza is a new addition to the Premium sedan’s sophisticated color palette with a new Silky Silver exterior paint scheme.

All Cadenzas come equipped with the powerful and smooth-revving 3.3-liter V6 that makes 293 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque, and it comes matched with a six-speed automatic transmission that includes a Sportmatic manual shift mode.
