  •  With world-class design, craftsmanship and materials, K900 touted for its understated elegance
  •  420-horsepower1 rear-wheel-drive premium luxury sedan redefines Kia brand and consumer expectations

DETROIT, Jan. 12, 2015 – In conjunction with the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Decisive Magazine named the 2015 Kia K900 sedan as the “2015 Urban Car of the Year” at its 19th Annual Urban Wheel Awards (UWA) ceremony, the “Official Multicultural Event” of NAIAS.  Combining world-class features, premium amenities, and impressive performance – all at a tremendous value – the K900 elevates the Kia brand to new levels of refinement and elegance.

“Since arriving in the U.S. market 20 years ago, the Kia brand has always challenged convention and redefined the notion of what value is,” said Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Kia Motors America (KMA).  “To be recognized by Decisive Magazine and the Urban Wheel Awards jurors for the Urban Car of the Year Award is an indication that our first foray into the premium luxury segment has the right combination of design, craftsmanship, technology – and value – to be a winner.”

UWA juror Les Jackson proclaimed the K900 as having an “understated elegance that speaks of the owner being a savvy, trendy professional.”  Taking practicality and style into account, the UWA panel evaluated dozens of new cars for 2015 in a variety of urban settings to determine the winners in each segment: Urban Car of the Year, Urban Truck of the Year, and Urban Green Vehicle of the Year.
