The 2016 Kia Sorento Beats All Competition in Strategic Vision’s Customer Love Index™ for Title of Most Loved Vehicle

  • Everything from seat comfort to performance to “emotional attachment” considered
  • Sorento wins solid victory in the ultra-hot competitive Compact Sport Utility segment

IRVINE, Calif., November 15, 2016—Love is sweet, especially if you’re the owner of a 2016 Kia Sorento. Strategic Vision has awarded the Sorento a “Most Loved Vehicle” designation in the highly-competitive Mid-Size Crossover Utility Vehicle segment based on its Customer Love Index™ (CLI™).

The award is based on a series of online and written questionnaires called the New Vehicle Experience Study. Three months after purchase owners are asked to rate their new vehicles based on 120 different factors from seat comfort and engine performance to their emotional attachment to their new vehicle. Responses determine rank on the CLI™ and the 2016 Sorento scored top of its class.

“We’re thrilled the Sorento is the object of so much love,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning KMA. “It’s a fantastic vehicle and it’s great to know the hard work and love we’ve put into building loveable vehicles is being recognized. We like that our owners are emotionally connected to their Kias.”

This is the 22nd year Strategic Vision, a San Diego-based research consultancy, has conducted the New Vehicle Experience Study. This year it surveyed 38,763 new owners of vehicles purchased between October, 2015 and April, 2016.
