John Yoon, Vice President, Human Resources/Administration and General Counsel

John Yoon is Vice President, Human Resources/Administration and General Counsel of Kia Motors America (KMA). He joined KMA in March, 2000.

Yoon, a 12-year veteran of the automotive industry, previously served as Managing Corporate Counsel at KMA. His current responsibilities include overall supervision and management of KMA's Legal, Human Resources, and Administration Departments.

Prior to joining KMA, Yoon served as a partner at Lee & Hong in Los Angeles, where he provided executive legal advice to international corporate and automotive firms. Prior to that, he was an associate attorney at the Los Angeles office of Lewis Bisgaard Brisbois and Smith, where he practiced in the areas of corporate law and commercial litigation.

Yoon received his J.D. degree from UCLA Law School, and his B.A. in Literature from Harvard College. A Los Angeles native and resident, Yoon's personal interests include literature, contemporary art and classical music.
