David Kim, Chief Financial Officer

Nam Kyu (David) Kim is chief financial officer for Kia Motors America (KMA). Kim started his second tour of KMA as CFO effective May 2, 2010. He previously served as CFO of KMA from October 2004 to January 2008. Kim is primarily responsible for overseeing all financial responsibilities for the company.

He joined Kia Motors Corporation (KMC) in December 1990. As a lifetime Kia employee and 20-year automotive veteran, he had most recently been in charge of both accounting and tax at KMC. Prior to that Kim was responsible for the financial management of all overseas subsidiaries of KMC.

Born in Nam Won, Korea, Kim earned his degree in Business Administration from Jeon Ju University in South Korea. He now resides in Irvine, Calif. with his wife Sun Young. Together they have a daughter, Ga Hee. In his spare time he enjoys reading books and mountain hiking as well as golfing.
