Kia Motors America Announces June Sales
IRVINE, Calif., July 3, 2006 – Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced June sales of 27,443 units, a 1.3-percent increase over the same period last year and a 3.6-percent increase over the previous month. Year-to-date sales for Kia totaled 146,578 units, a 2.4-percent improvement over the record-setting sales pace in 2005.
“It’s nice to see we’re on track to set yet another record sales year,” said Len Hunt, executive vice president and COO of KMA. “We expect much of the same as we enter the typically high-selling summer months.”
Kia June sales were led by the Spectra, Sorento and Amanti, at 7,532, 5,147 and 2,533 units respectively.
